Metro Suburban Conference Championships 10/17/2015
Raiders "Shock The World!" Win Conference Title

It was 38-42 degrees,  cold & sunny on the morning of our Conference Meet.  We had a near full line-up for the first time in what seemed like ages.  Coming in to this season. the defending Conference Champions, (The Raiders), were picked to finish no better than 4th.  This simply provided some additional motivation to our Runnin' Raider Girls!  When the Varsity race finished, the Girls (Abby, Diane, Ava, Courtney, Erica, Alyssa, and Elizabeth) all posted season PR's with Abby, Diane, Ava, and Courtney earning All-Conference honors.  However, the final team scores were still to be determined.  It was more of the same for the JV Race.  Wheaton Academy was the strong favorite.  Too bad for them.  The Raider squad finished 2,4,5,6,7 to crush the competition and make this race a blow-out.  Gisela, Julia, Katie, Lauren, & Bri earned Conference JV Medals and season PR's.  Teammates Isabella, Bianca, Matilde, Alyssa L, Mikayla, and Allison Joined the Top 5 with season PR's!  But.....What about the Varsity?  With Tacchi and Orlow convince we were 2nd, the final team scores were read.  Wheaton Academy, 3rd, and in a tie for first, Glenbard South and ACC!  The crowd was quiet.  The announcer continued...In order to break the tie we go to the 6th runner which means......Glenbard South is this years Conference Champions!  Our crowd went wild!  Congratulations!   I'll leave you with last meets quote and spme new ones.
