Ready To Rumble!

55 and sunny with very little wind greeted us at Black Partridge Park in Metamora.  Only 17 of our 26 Raider Strong competed on this 2.94 course and 10 came away with PR's and season's best times.  Raider Of The Meet Ava Childs led the way with a career best (adjusted) of 19:55.3!  Courtney Knight ran her best race in a while following Ava with a 20:12.8.  Erica Mote was extremely happy after posting her best time in years of 20:38.9.  Erica's keys to success?  Perseverance and her fastest opening mile of her year! Congrats Erica!  Other bests of the year came from Grace Gibson, Sophie Nelson, Megan Rumel, Esther Niedert, Julia Childs, Katie King, Bianca Lupa, and Mikayla (another PR) Jacoby!  When we asked Julia what was different this race, she told us for other races, she would start stressing early in the week.  For this week, she didn't worry about it and just ran!  I think we can all take some advice from this wise freshman!  This coming week it's Metro Suburban week!  Our opposition doesn't know we are ready to show up and compete!
