Raiders Bring Their Best!

It was a "Perfect day to run" (55 degrees and sunny) at Black Partridge Park in Metamora.  With only 20 of our 26 Raider girls available, they competed on this 2.94 course and 19 came away with PR's and Career best times. It;s always tough to pick a Raider Of The meet and this meet was no exception. However, my vote has to go to Julia Clingen as Julia became our first girl to keep her second mile within 30 seconds of her first.  With this strategy, Julia ran her career best race!  Who else ran a career best?  How about Katie King, Gisela Hagedorn, Sophie Nelson, and Mikayla Jacoby?  Turning in season PR's were Abby Schlenker, Ava Childsm Courtney Knight, Alyssa Flores, Emma johnson, Grace Gibson, Kendall Arlasky, Mirielle Hill, Myranda Pregel, Bianca motenegro, Fay Kay, Angel Avila, Shayan Malik, and Emma Guiot!  I guess if we pick a time to start running great, this would be it.  With Conference-Regional-Sectional-State looming, the Raiders are starting to peak!   This coming week it's Metro Suburban week!  We thought last year was close but this year may be even tighter.  Wheaton Academy, Riverside Brookfield, ACC, and your very own Raiders should be the frontrunners for the title.
