Raiders Finish 3rd!

Is it me or did the season fly by??  On a day it was supposed to be sunny and cooler, it ended up being a misty, and humid morning.  The Raiders had been on a recent roll and hoped their momentum would take them to the championship.  After a valiant effort, the Raiders fell short.  It was a bittersweet ending to a remarkable run the Lady Raiders had been on since the 2010 season.  This seasons team made outstanding progress and should be proud of their accomplishments.
The Varsity was led by All-Conference finishers Abby Schlenker (3rd), Ava Childs (7th), and Courtney Knight (13th).  Alyssa Flores (24th), Julia Clingen (27th), Gisela Hagedorn (29th), and Katie King (30th) rounded out the Top 7 for the 3rd place Raiders.  The JV had some surprises, placing 4 girls in the Top 13.  Leading the way was Emma Johnson (8th), Ali Salt (10th), Grace Gibson (11th), and Sophie Nelson (12th).  Finishing with seasons best times for the Raiders were Abby Schlenker, Courtney Knight, Emma Johnson, Grace Gibson, Ali Salt, Sophie Nelson, Bianca Montenegro, Kendall Arlasky, Myranda Pregel, and Shayan Malik.  Well done to all our Lady raiders!
Next up is the State Series for the Raiders.  The Varsity Girls look to return AS A TEAM to the State meet after missing last year.  This week, we have the Regional Meet in Hinsdale.  #raiderschasinggreatness
